EWC

Special Notice

Adecco Group UK&I comprises of many different brand Companies including Adecco, Office Angels, Spring Personnel & hyphen. We are also part of the wider Adecco Group operating worldwide.

Employees of large multinational companies based in the UK and with a presence elsewhere in Europe have a right to ask for a European Works Council (EWC) to be set up. A EWC is a committee that represents employees in discussions with management on transnational issues.

Stage One!

We first need to set up a Special Negotiating Body (SNB) comprising of employee representatives from various countries.

What is a Special Negotiating Body?

The SNB shall have the task of determining, with central management representatives of the global Adecco group of Companies, the scope, composition, functions, and term of office of the European Works Council. The central management group and the SNB will negotiate in a spirit of cooperation with a view to reaching an agreement.

Do you want to be Adecco Group UK&I’s representative on the SNB?

Over the course of the coming weeks you will have the opportunity to nominate yourself if you want to be on the SBB. Following this we will be carrying out an Election which all employees of Adecco will be able to participate in to vote for their preferred representative.

Supervision of the nominations and election will be carried out by Electoral Reform Services to ensure a fair and transparent process.
