John L. Marshall III, CEO

John L. Marshall III, Chief Executive Officer

John L. Marshall III holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Georgia and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida. John L. Marshall III was a practicing attorney with King & Spalding and AT&T before he joined MPS Group in 1998. He started as Deputy General Counsel with an emphasis on acquisitions and public company reporting. He was promoted to President of Special Counsel in 2001 and named President of Accounting Principals in 2006. Adecco acquired MPS Group in 2010 and named John L. Marshall III President of Adecco’s US Finance, Office and Legal business unit.

Tim Briant, CFO

Tim Briant, Chief Financial Officer

Tim Briant was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Adecco Group UK and Ireland in June 2015, having held the position of Chief Financial Officer for the IT division in the Adecco Global organisation. Prior to this, Tim was Finance Director for Adecco Group UK and Ireland, having joined the business as part of the acquisition of Spring plc in 2009 where Tim had held the position of Group Financial Controller and Company Secretary from 2007.

Before joining Adecco Group UK and Ireland, Tim was Group Financial Controller at Whatman plc, having left KPMG in 2005 where he held roles as a Senior Manager in audit and Associate Director in transactions services. Tim is a Chartered Accountant and member of the ICAEW.

Chris Moore, COO

Chris Moore, President of Group Operations

Chris Moore was appointed President of Group Operations of Adecco Group UK and Ireland in August 2016, after holding the position of Chief Operating Officer for General Staffing for over two years. During his time with the Group, Chris has also led a number of influential brands including Office Angels, Roevin and Judd Farris, as well as the Corporate Sales and Bids function.

Before joining Adecco Group UK and Ireland, Chris was Divisional Head at Active Web Solutions, a niche software house. Prior to that, Chris held a series of senior roles at Kelly Services, joining as Account Director and earning promotion to Director of Sales, Marketing and Corporate Accounts and Operations Director.

In his role as VP and Regional General Manager for the UK and Ireland for Kelly Services, Chris built and developed the UK Board of Directors, facilitated the development of a comprehensive business plan and led the creation and implementation of a major change management programme.

Nicola Linkleter, MD

Nicola Linkleter, President of Professional Staffing

Nicola Linkleter stepped into the role of President of Professional Staffing in August 2016 after a successful career as Managing Director of Badenoch & Clark, Adecco Group’s specialist recruitment brand sourcing talent across commerce & industry, legal, marketing, banking & financial services and the public sector.

With 25 years’ recruitment experience across a range of markets, Nicola provides overall leadership for a spectrum of class-leading brands including the technology solutions division of Ajilon, Badenoch & Clark, Computer People, Modis, Roevin, and Spring. She also heads up Adecco Group’s Public Sector strategic initiative.

Nicola’s previous roles include CEO at accountancy & finance recruitment specialist, Nigel Lynn, Managing Director responsible for the start up of Accountants on Call, and a number of key positions during her nine years with Brook Street.

Alex Fleming, MD

Alex Fleming, President of General Staffing

With more than 19 years' industry experience, Alex Fleming was appointed President of General Staffing for Adecco Group UK and Ireland in August 2016 and now leads two of the UK’s most recognisable recruitment brands, Adecco and Office Angels.

Alex began her career with Adecco Group in September 1997 as an Industrial Consultant at Adecco Clapham. London-based Branch Manager and Regional Manager roles soon followed, until Alex took on the role of Operations Director in 2009. After a period of change within the business, Alex joined Spring Personnel in June 2009, retaining the title of Operations Director but extending her remit to cover the south of the country.

When Adecco Group acquired Spring Personnel in October 2009, Alex assumed responsibility for managing both general staffing brands and overseeing the commercial development of 50 office locations across London and the South.

Graham Jones, Group HR Director

Graham Jones, Group HR Director

Graham joined Adecco Group UK& Ireland in November 2011 as Group HR Director, also joining the UK & Ireland Strategy and Executive Boards. He is now Group Chief HR Officer UK & Ireland and is also global Product Owner for Succession Planning and Career Management.

A UK national, Graham is a Graduate and Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Prior to joining Adecco Group, he was a freelance interim executive working with clients including Swiss Re and Lehman Brothers in Administration. Previously, he lived in Germany serving on the Executive Board of Munich-based medical device business BrainLAB A.G. as Executive Vice President HR & ERP.

From 2000 to 2005 Graham was HR Director UK for global car leasing giant LeasePlan with responsibility for HR, Property, Operational Risk, Compliance, Procurement and Business Assurance. In the past he has also held various HR positions in the staffing services and automotive industries.

Julie Towers

Julie Towers, Managing Director and Board Director at Penna PLC

Julie has a 25-year track record in the resourcing industry. Beginning her career within Nottinghamshire County Council’s HR team, Julie developed her expertise in recruitment, selection, industrial relations and training. Her broad-based HR experience next took Julie to the Riley Group (acquired by Euro RSCG now Havas), where she spent 17 years and rose to the role of Managing Director for the Consulting Division (UK and Europe), leading the consultancy and graduate recruitment business across Europe. Moving to Tribal Group plc, a specialist public sector consultancy business, in 2002 and becoming Chief Executive of its Resourcing Division in 2003, Julie spearheaded rapid growth and saw Tribal win ‘Recruitment Business of the Year’ in 2010. She then joined Penna in April 2011 as Managing Director, Recruitment Solutions and later took on the role of Managing Director of Penna following the 2016 acquisition

Adam Hawkins, Managing Director for Permanent Placement, Strategy and Innovation

Adam Hawkins was appointed Managing Director for Permanent Placement, Strategy and Innovation in March 2016, continuing a 16-year international track record within IT and strategic staffing. Adam began his recruitment career at Chase and took on a Regional Manager role for Spring Group plc (now part of Adecco Group) shortly after. Adam then joined Computer People, Adecco Group’s specialist IT recruitment brand, as Operations Director in 2007. Following a series of influential global roles, Adam moved to Adecco Group’s Zurich head office as Global Business Development Director in 2008 and became Head of International Business Projects and Branding three years later.

Adam has spent the last eight years working with Adecco Group’s executives to develop and roll out strategy through the organisation’s international in-house management consulting function, which he built and ran.

Adam holds a BA (Hons) degree in Business Management and Tourism from the University of Birmingham.

David Malkinson

David Malkinson, Head of Marketing

With 20 years’ experience in marketing and commercial roles, David spent his early career in the sports marketing industry before taking on senior positions within professional services marketing with EY and Hay Group, where he was Global Head of Marketing for their productised services business. David joined The Adecco Group UK & Ireland in 2016 to lead the marketing and communications team and is responsible for the organisation’s thought leadership strategy. David holds a BSc. in Physics from the University of Nottingham and postgraduate diploma in Marketing.

Simon Curtis

Simon Curtis, Regional Head of IT

With 20 years’ experience in IT leadership roles, Simon spent ten years in the automotive industry with Scania and Mercedes-Benz, then ten years in the recruitment industry as IT Director for Elan (Manpower) and IT Director for MPS International, who were acquired by The Adecco Group in 2010. During his time with The Adecco Group, Simon worked globally with Lee Hecht Harrison (LHH) where he was responsible for the post-acquisition IT integration of LHH and DBM, moving all countries onto one global IT platform. Simon then returned to the UK to lead the IT team in 2014. Simon holds a BSc in Computer Studies from the University of Derby and an MBA with the Open University.

Neil Jones

Neil Jones, Managing Director, Pontoon Solutions

With more than 20 years’ industry experience, Neil has held a diverse range of international leadership roles and is currently Managing Director of Pontoon EMEA, a global leader in HR, talent management, RPO and Managed Service Provider (MSP) solutions. Neil’s recruitment career began in 1995 at Elan, where he ultimately rose to the role of Head of Corporate Accounts. In 2005, he joined The Adecco Group UK and Ireland as Sales and Marketing Director and two years later accepted the position of Managing Director for hyphen, the Group’s Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) business. In 2011, Neil moved to Singapore to take on a number of influential roles across the Asia Pacific region, including Chief Executive Officer for Adecco Australia and New Zealand and President APAC, Outsourcing. He took on his current London-based role in 2015 and now leads over 600 RPO/MSP and consulting specialists across 17 countries.

Gavin Tagg

Gavin Tagg, General Counsel

Gavin originally trained as a criminal barrister, completing his pupillage in September 1998. He moved into commercial law in April 1999, taking the in-house lawyer role at Volt Europe and then joining Best International Group as Group Legal Counsel and Company Secretary in June 2000. Best International was purchased by Spring Group plc in 2003 and Gavin retained his role in the merged business, all the way through to November 2009 shortly after an acquisition by The Adecco Group. Gavin then pursued a consultancy career and rejoined The Adecco Group to head up the Legal department in July 2013. Gavin oversees and manages all Legal divisions (Commercial Services, Employment & Regulatory, Litigation, International Tax & Compliance and Company Secretariat), and in addition oversees the Properties and Procurement departments. He is also the Regional Head of Compliance for the UK and Ireland business.
