Deloitte is the UK’s second largest professional services employer, with over 12,000 people across more than 20 offices.

Deloitte places a real focus on looking after its people within the business and their ‘Well Now’ programme is specifically designed to improve the wellbeing of all staff. By engaging staff and encouraging feedback, Well Now encourages discussions on all aspects of health. By doing so, Deloitte has discovered important issues, such as the fact that, for their staff health, doesn’t always mean something physical – mental health is an issue for many people.

Well Now is able to engage with staff and provide support and advice in all aspects of their individual health.

Cisco employs more than 3,000 people in the UK, operating at the cutting edge of technology. The company prides itself on its inclusiveness and encourages a very open culture where people are encouraged to speak their mind and push the boundaries.

When a recent survey showed that younger groups felt that their voice wasn’t being heard the company immediately brought younger employees and leaders much more closely together. But rather than a hierarchical mentoring initiative, they reversed the process, with younger members of staff mentoring a senior executive.

Cisco is improving cross-generational awareness all the time. Leaders have an increased awareness of how younger members of staff think – increasingly, that covers the attitude of many of their customers too – and how they adopt and use technology, and choose to send and receive information.
